Constructions, 2024, Magasins Généraux, Paris
We’ve been invited by the Magasins Généraux curatorial team as part of their exhibition “(Dé)construire les utopies urbaines”.
Text : In hip-hop dance, the movements are called « constructions ». According to Teddy Sanches, the creative process of this « technical » style is akin to architecture and design.
He sees these movements as the forms that masons deconstruct and rebuild, and which govern the way we experience the city.
It’s this cyclical dynamic that is brought to life in this piece.
